Man’s best friend could also be an epileptic’s greatest saviour...

New research by Queen’s University Belfast has shown that dogs can predict if their owners are about to have an epileptic seizure.  With no current technology able to accurately predict if an epileptic fit is oncoming, these canine companions have the potential to save those suffering with epilepsy from the fear and anxiety of a sudden fit.  To discuss was Dr Neil Powell is from the School of Biological Sciences at Queen's University Belfast and was the lead researcher of the study, and Anton was also joined by study participant Karen Browne...
