There's been lots of concern around the Delta variant of Covid-19 this week. In particular, the pressure it could put on ICU beds if it spreads as NPHET's modelling predicts.
HSE CEO Paul Reid joined Gavan to the pressure the system would face, and the need to delay reopening.
They also discussed the vaccination rollout, which has taken on another level of importance as vaccine passports join the agenda. As well as the possibility of buying unused vaccines from Romania, and the reported race to vaccinate children before schools reopen.
